This was their fourth title, making them the most successful team in the history of the tournament. Australia, who have won three titles, have also been a dominating force in the ICC Women’s World Cup. In fact, the final of the 2020 edition saw an intense battle between these two teams, with Australia coming out on top and winning their fifth title.

When it comes to individual performances, there have been some standout players who have left their mark on the ICC Women’s World Cup. In terms of batting, India’s Mithali Raj has been the highest run-scorer in the history of the tournament with a total of 2290 runs. Meanwhile, Australia’s Meg Lanning holds the record for the highest individual score of 152 runs. On the bowling front, India’s Jhulan Goswami leads the chart with 41 wickets followed by New Zealand’s Debbie Hockley with 36 wickets. As for the most successful wicketkeeper, it is Australia’s Alyssa Healy with 42 dismissals.

The ICC Women’s World Cup has also seen some memorable team performances, with the highest total being scored by New Zealand in 1997 with 455 runs against Pakistan. The lowest total was scored by Pakistan in 1997 with just 27 runs against Australia. In terms of highest margin of victory, Australia holds the record with a 256 run win against Papua New Guinea in 1988. On the other hand, the closest final to date was played between Pakistan and England in 1993, with England winning by just two runs.
